    Shot in Ireland — Ardmore Studios and out around Wicklow — across late 2002, and then it bombed, finishing under $28 million worldwide. Its two credited screenwriters had just come off 10 Things I Hate About You and Legally Blonde. The novelist whose book it's from said the result was "so different from the book that it's hard to compare them", and suggested people treat it as a separate creative act altogether.
